Break Time

Kitty hiding in blankets from
TheJigsawPuzzles.com

When I get a couple of minutes to breathe, I've found that working online jigsaw puzzles is a great stress reliever.  All because of Colehaus Cats!  Every once in awhile, Colehaus Cats posts a custom puzzle made from their own photos, and I have gotten hooked on those images.

Of course, I like jigsaw puzzles with a kitty in it, or a famous work of art. Sometimes, there are beautiful photographs of birds, or lions, or a water buffalo! You can change how many pieces your puzzle will have, or the style of the jigsaw, and there is a timer so you can have a competition.  But I simply like testing my skills as a way to 'zone out' for 10 or 15 minutes at a time.

Try it; you might like it!

  5. I've seen those online puzzles and wondered if I'd enjoy them. At least with those you don't need to spread pieces out all over a table and hope kitty doesn't run off with one!

  6. I love Colehaus Cats' puzzles, they are fun. I like that the shapes of the pieces are already in the right direction, it makes it easier than a regular puzzle.

  9. I haven't tried the virtual puzzles, but I always enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles, years before home computers and iPads and such. Now I don't have time for puzzles because I'm always on the computer or tablet. Will have to give this a try!

  10. Ours does three or four visual and word games every day, supposedly to keep her wizened brain engaged. She likes jigsaws, but the game she likes repeats the same group of pictures often.

  13. Äiti started these on the suggestion of King Spitty's Human, and she loved them. Now she has bought the real thing and is somewhat surprised when she completes 999 pieces and cannot find the last one!
