WeeHeeHee Wednesday

Surprise card from co-worker
A couple of weeks ago, we had pretty much the entire global management team for my company visiting my office for four straight days.  I arrived early to meet the caterer, and stayed late to assist the sixty or so travelers.  As tiring as it was, I hung out with some really fascinating people, and it doesn't hurt to rub elbows with my bosses bosses, right?

The executive assistant for the company president sent me this gorgeous kitty card, with a thank you for my hard work.  She had noticed that my office is coated in cat images, statues, framed art and calendars!  She has her own cat too.

How delightful to receive this card, which I have pinned up next to the rest of my cat artwork.  Makes me all giddy to get lovely cat-themed items from out of the blue!

P.S. Please send healing thoughts for Phoebe, at 15 And Meowing.

  2. This is too cute! It looks like your handsome Patty O'Malley. Speaking of which, I hope you don't mind that we used Patty O'Malley as inspiration for our Thoroughly Poetic Thursday poem that we'll be posting tomorrow.

We are also sending our purrs and prayers to sweet Phoebe of 15andmeowing.

  3. WTG yes indeed it is very wise to rub elbows with the boss's bosses and to see to their every need no matter the time. I'm so pleased your extra efforts were noticed.
Phoebe and I have had similar health issues so I sure do know what she is going through and how hard it is to feel better when there is lots going on like that.

  4. How wonderful to get that recognition! Class AND cats (real and paper), how cool is that?

  5. Awww, that was cool! We love it when things like that happen. Sometimes, our Dad's cat things on his desk get noticed and suddenly, everyone has a cat question for him.

  7. Thank you for telling us about sweet Phoebe. I had no idea as I have scarcely been on blogs the past few days because of things here at home. I would have missed the opportunity to be there for Phoebe and her family if it were not for your kindness.

  17. Wasn't that observant of your boss. It's so complimentary when someone notices our likes and dislikes. We have been purring hard for our Phoebes.
