Tree Latin

Arbor Day is celebrated on the last Friday in April in most of the U.S., to appreciate and care for trees.

Many organizations plant trees today.

Trees are crucial for our environment: produce oxygen, provide food and habitat for wildlife, reduce or eliminate soil erosion, and provides mental health benefits through urban green spaces.

We need them!

Learn more here: Arbor Day Foundation.

Tree in Latin is arbor.

Kensington Metropark, Shelby Township Michigan

Silver Maple, in Eastside Cats yard, Mount Clemens Michigan

Quickstad Park, Royal Oak Michigan

I love parks, especially because of the trees.

Henry Update:

A bit listless on Thursday, but he's eating.

HUGE amounts of deposits in the litter box, mostly peeballs.

He's got runny stool, which will hopefully dry up soon, as we attempt to settle down his intestines.

  2. Good to see Henry stretched out on the quilt. Of course I'm a tree lover and I would be a tree hugger if needed.

  5. Henry, please...work harder to feel better. I hope you sleep with your mom and dad at night. You'll gather energy that way. The silver maple in mom's youngest son's yard is spectacular! When those leaves turn over. they are silver!

  9. I recently learned that tree roots help maintain a healthy water table, building it up where it was previously low. :) Please get better, Henry. Hugs, my dear.

  12. Streoids can make the kidneys produce more urine...and of course antibiotics almost always causde stool looseness, or even liquid ones, esp if not counteracted with probiotics.
Henry we hope today is a better day than yersterday!
I love trees, too, and always feel sad when they come down, either by will or my winds.I try to replace them with other ones. Right now we have a lot of tree seedlings in our woodsy area, n=mostly maples af various species, and cherry trees...and later all the cottonwoods will sprout as will the oaks. I work at a place called The Oaks, but most of the trees there are walnuts and others, LOL!!
