May 31 is National Smile Day.
Sometimes a smile is hard to accomplish; see memes below:
Hahahaha!

Henry Update:
It was brought to my attention that Henry's antibiotics and probiotics should NOT be administered at the same time.
As of Friday, I'm giving Henry the probiotics capsule at least two hours before administering his antibiotics at the 8 PM med dose.
Maybe this will help with his poopy issue, after weeks of doing it wrong!
The H Man most likely has intestinal lymphoma, and after giving him handfuls of meds for almost two months, the only change is that he's eating regularly.
Opting for chemo, in any form, seems incredibly harsh and I have apprehensions.
Even so, we will go ahead with it soon.
Details to follow.

Let's Hop!

Paws crossed for a good treatment outcome. And that is a delightful and special smiling selfie from you both.

Love the ussie! Many cats tolerate chemo remarkably well, much better than people, so we are crossing paws for Mr. H.
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
At least you now know how you can give him his medicine in a more effective manner. I love the first picture with the fangs on the kitty, what a smile.
ReplyDeleteWe are purraying as hard as We can for Henry.
ReplyDeleteAnd We think effurry day should be National Smile Day! And that effurryone should have something to smile about!

ReplyDeleteHugs ^_^
Poor Henry. Everyone knows you will do right by him. I guess the best judge of whether the chemo-therapy works is how it makes Hix feel. The best of luck to him.
ReplyDeleteWe have lost at least three kitties to intestinal lymphoma, as it is often diagnosed too late. We were never even offered chemo for any of them. The problem with it is that kitty can still have totally normal blood work. We know you will give Henry the absolutely best care whatever you decide. We are sending lots of POTP. We love your ussie as well. All the other smiley photos ... not so much, except maybe fang kitty. Thanks for hopping with us!
ReplyDeleteI am so sorry and understand your apprehension. ~hugs~ I'd mentioned our cat Luna already. Desperately hoping to shield me from losing her, my husband opted for radical surgery which I actually intended to decline. He regrets putting her through it for those few extra weeks of life; I remind him that the choice may well have helped advance veterinary medicine.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes, my dear.
You and Henry's ussie is wonderful! We're sorry to hear about his intestinal lymphoma, but are glad he is eating. We purr that the course of treatment works wonders. XO
ReplyDeleteThat’s a great ussie. And we can see that you both are smiling. Having had to deal with 2 cats, one with confirmed lymphoma and the other with suspected, I understand your apprehension. But cats usually tolerate chemotherapy well. And you can always stop if you feel Henry is not benefiting from it. If I can help in anyway, please let me know.
ReplyDeleteCute ussie. I didn't know you should not mix antibiotics and probiotics- sadly, too late for Penny. XO
ReplyDeleteSending purrayers and love and Power of the Paw to Henry, you, and all of his care team.
ReplyDeleteGreat smiles from everyone! Always purring for sweet Henry. With regards to your comment about cosmic ore in Mudpie's ear, I said the same thing! It seemed like the vet was digging for gold in there.
ReplyDeleteHappy Smile Day! I do hope the change in medicine scheduling helps.
ReplyDeleteYou go with what keeps Henry happy. If he isn't you will think again.
