By the way, we use Corning Sidekicks as cat food bowls; the sides are low for no whisker fatigue, and they wash up like a dream (or, so The Hubby says...) The bottoms are smooth; so many bowls made especially for cats have rough or scratchy bottoms that would mark the wood floors. We already had several Sidekicks in the house to press into cat bowl service, and I purchase any that I find while out at the resale shops, if they are in good shape and cost $2.

Food Nuggets

Yes! Those are great bowls to use and perfect for not wearing out the whiskers (like our sister Pia suffers from). Mmmm, nuggets...
ReplyDeleteJenna just licks her food off the plate then goes back later to eat it off her plastic placemat. I'll have to keep my eyes open for some Sidekicks.
ReplyDeleteI guess they like to play with their food. :) Those bowls sound great.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting! I have had cats all my life and have never seen this...and I love those bowls! :)
ReplyDeleteWe've never done that with our foods. Strange!
ReplyDeleteNope, that's not something we do either. But we get dinner in Corning Ware too and have for eons--only ours are the little berry bowls. We do have a few other fancy cat dishes but we like that we can see all our food against the white. Because that's the most important thing, you know.
ReplyDeletenice of you looking after the whiskers like that. a very important part of the cat, the whiskers, and often overlooked. we have a few similar bowls that we use in the bowl rotation, however our kitties don't play with their food - they gobble it up!
ReplyDeleteThose bowls look great - we have ceramic bowls here but they are on feeding stations. Our floors are all scratched up anyway....... And those pellets look interesting - generally food doesn't hang around long enough for us to do that (Veikko and Seppo are piggies)
ReplyDeleteWow, that is such a cute habit :-)
ReplyDeleteThe bowl sounds great. Have a wonderful weekend xoxo
I think that is hilarious! The bowls are great too!
