Speckled

It's Sweetnesday!

Our Miss Growly Pants may be a housepanther, yet she's speckled with fine white hairs all over.
Her paws and legs.
Her chest (that's dusty fuzz on her face!)
Her whiskers really shine in the sun.
Sweetie received her sixth Solensia injection last week, along with a six-month check-up.

She'd lost some weight, and mention of her usual morning bomit sessions caused the veterinarian to take blood and urine samples (no results yet), and prescribed an appetite stimulant.

Afraid of over-stimulating to the point of being kept up all night while Sweetie begs for food, we crushed up 1/4 of one wee pill, and I dust in only a few grains into her food.

It works; she eats up her meals lickety-split!

Here's hoping her next weigh-in will read over 7 lbs.

  2. I hope her weight comes back. You're smart to lesson the doses though.

Have a fabulous day and rest of the week. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  3. Most of our libraries will put a book into their catalog when they order it. That allows holds to be put on the book even when they don't physically have it yet. Last time I did this was for the Obama memoir of his presidency. My library had it marked as a "browsing" book which didn't allow holds. So I just put a hold on the book through a different library! Once the book was out I was the first person to get my library's copy!

    1. Doesn't it feel good to be #1 in line?!? I've been gaming my library's system for years now.

  9. I hope everything comes back from the tests with a green light. If Sweetie has trouble with a pill for appetite-stimulation, I recommend having the medicine compounded for rubbing in the ear. But if she eats it up - and such a small amount, fortunately - all the better.

  10. We send lots of yummy thoughts of delectable and tempting noms, to um...well you know, fatten you up!
And some POTP, too. Hope nothing too bad will show up, and that remedies will be offered.

Those appetite stimulants made Minko, and later, Pipo crazy...but it didn't really make them eat more...but we think you are on to something with the smaller doses.

  13. Oh, best wishes! Our girls have some white in their black fur. Long-haired Polly looks like she's going gray (don't tell her I said that - lol) while I call silky haired Terra's 'sparkles'.
