Wright Brothers Day is a United States national observation. It is codified in the US Code, and commemorates the first successful flights in a heavier-than-air, mechanically propelled airplane, the Wright Flyer, that were made by Orville and Wilbur Wright on December 17, 1903, near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.
Let's take a look at my photo library for something to commemorate this day, using the word 'flying':

No Dragon Ride for you! |
Aww, darn! |
✈️😹🐉
It's been quite a few years since I've been to Dayton to see the museum. But it is incredible to see all that aircraft. I've only flown three times in my life and you'll never get my feet off the ground again.
ReplyDeleteFUN! Climbed the sand dunes (when knees weren't arthritic!) at Kitty Hawk and OMC, want to see "flyers" ... go to the Air/Space Museum (version #2 with un-pronounceable name) located at Dulles Airport, VA ... a blackbird there, tooo! Amazing place.
ReplyDeleteI'd love to visit that museum. I loved the funnies. I laughed out loud.
