Wright Bros

Wright Brothers Day is a United States national observation. It is codified in the US Code, and commemorates the first successful flights in a heavier-than-air, mechanically propelled airplane, the Wright Flyer, that were made by Orville and Wilbur Wright on December 17, 1903, near Kitty Hawk, North Carolina.

Time For Tea

The first International Tea Day was held in New Delhi, India in 2005, and is celebrated annually in tea producing countries such as India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Vietnam, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Uganda and Tanzania. 

The United Nations established a separate International Tea Day on May 21 in 2019 to commemorate the signing of the First International Tea Agreement.

Two Tea Day Holidays?  

That's okay with me!

I love my Earl Grey tea, but must limit how much I drink each day due to caffeine levels.

When I really want to be rebellious, however, I have two cups of Earl Grey. 😹

Of the 20 plant species that supply 80% of the world's food, six originated and have been diversified in mountains: maize, potatoes, barley, sorghum, tomatoes, and apples

Mountain ecosystems are under threat from pollution. Microplastics have even been found as high as the summit of Mt. Everest.

Up to 84 percent of endemic mountain species are at risk of extinction, according to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

Two Years

It's PO'Monday!

Guess what?

It's been two years since my Paddy O'Malley tattoo.

Yes, it's unconventional and silly, and so was he.

Seeing Himself often, as artwork on my body, has helped ease the grief that I'd felt since losing him in such a surprising way.

He was my ❤️ cat.

Since the above, I've been inked with Da Boyz and Sweetie, as well as a crescent moon holding a cat, a homage to the Solar Eclipse from April, 2024, and a sparkling star.

Next on my hit list:

Won't show a pic of the new tat; will reveal when it's properly unwrapped and healed.

When the artist stepped away and turned off his tattoo pen, I looked at my Celestial Babies, and whispered, "Oh, it's so good to see you two again!"

Feral Friday?

Henry has taken wee paw steps every day.

He chooses new locations to enjoy.

Those toys are where they are because he played with them!

Yeah, yeah I know...it's a litter box...and it's USED!
But that's the beauty of it; this is a second litter box set up right next to a big heating vent.
And within a day, Henry used it.

Henry O is adapting, and we are pleased as heck.
