It's Walkin' and Reading Wednesday!
A few pics of new 'hood friends, spied while on my neighborhood walk:
We've had sunny days, with cooler temperatures, and I've learned to wear a hoodie to cover my ears while I'm heading into the wind.
Am NOT ready to put on a winter beanie yet!
It's a good thing that I've got lots of audiobooks to entertain me whilst out trudging 'round the neighborhood.
Recent listens that I recommend:
Jay Kristoff's Empire of the Vampire trilogy
War, magic, vampires, and betrayal, and adult.
Fantastic characters, and unputdownable.
Ken Follett's Circle of Days
A story of the peoples who built and lived where Stonehenge is today.
Farmers, Herders, Riverfolk, and Miners coming together, but also are at war with each other.
Richard Osman's The Impossible Fortune
Book 5 in the very popular Thursday Murder Club series, for a good reason.
Can these pensioners find the uncrackable password?
Kelley Armstrong's The Haunting of Paynes Hollow
Excellent creepy whodunnit on the shores of Lake Erie.
A favorite author of mine.
Karin Smirnoff's The Girl with Ice in Her Veins
Book 8 in the Millennium/Lisbeth Sander series, of which the first one was The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo, so you know it's gritty and fast-paced.

You've got a great list of audio books going on there. Love seeing your neighborhood for. I have my hood up and my gloves on and the wind just never seems to quit now.
ReplyDeleteIt is always nice to meet new friends. That is a good selection of books, all of which would interest me.
