There is no other place like a library!
I visit them wherever I go.
More than just books, libraries are places for like-minded folks to gather, for young and old to research, and those tantalizing times of simply walking up and down the stacks, waiting for books to call to you!

I 100% agree reading is indeed a gift...
ReplyDeleteMy mom took me to the library every Saturday when I was a child. I cannot imagine life w/o reading.

Does "multiplebooking" exist ? "Doublebooking" is not enough for Claire, MOL ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteMy librarian Master S Degree girl cannot wait to be a full time librarian. I'll pass your post along! It is awesome
ReplyDeleteOur #1 loves to read but we confess to seriously interfering with her ability to do so!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
Tama and Genji
Yep! ALL these Memes fit our human! Especially #1! She even has books on her phone, she can't drive anywhere without listening to a book and is seriously miffed when she goes somewhere with our human brother as he wants to listen to tunes! We hope you and your Peeps are having an AWESOME and Happy Valentines Day!
ReplyDeleteI too always have an audiobook on my phone, and I listen to it with ear buds while walking, while laying on the futon with Da Boyz napping upon me, and for a short time before calling it a night, as Sweetie bedbunts the phone to get me to STOP!
DeleteHappy Booklover's Day! I doublebook all the time - MOL!
ReplyDeleteI love books and can't get enough of them. I have books that are old friends that I have read multiple times. One, Dandelion Wine at least 22 times. I get just as much out of it as I did the first time I read it at age 16. I have at least a thousand here in the house. It takes you into another world when they are well written.
ReplyDeleteNothing beats a real book...well, maybe a real cat! Happy Valentine's Day from all of us!
ReplyDeleteI am a library lover too! Happy Valentine's Day!XO
ReplyDeleteLibraries are beautiful and calming places. We treasure ours and can't wait for it to open again.
ReplyDeleteHave you read The Book Woman of Troublesome Creek by
ReplyDeleteKim Michele Richardson? It's a novel, but based on a WPA program of traveling librarians in Appalachia. The lives of the characters are grim, but books are lights in the darkness of their unbelievably difficult lives. It's a good book for people who love books.
Our high school library was my refuge. :) Thanks for the giggles.
ReplyDeleteI love our library! They have much more than books (movies, tax forms, even a new puzzle exchange).
