Am Pondering

October 9 is Curious Events Day.

#CuriousEventsDay

A day to wonder about anything that we've ever wondered about, and maybe even dig a little deeper into the mystery.

Here's something that I find curious:

Boston, Massachusetts

"The 1990 theft of 13 works of art from the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum’s collection remains unsolved, although the Museum’s commitment to resolving the crime has never diminished since its occurrence. The Museum, the FBI, and the US Attorney's office are still seeking viable leads that could result in safe return of the art."

The Museum is offering a $10 million dollar reward for information leading directly to the safe return of the stolen works.  A separate reward of $100,000 is being offered for the return of the Napoleonic eagle finial."

Art by Degas, Rembrandt, and Vermeer were taken, along with a few other items.

Who did it?

Anything that makes you curious, add to your comments.

Am rather glad that I have little that would be coveted by others, enough to be robbed.

**knock wood**

Except maybe the cats.

Mess with my cats, and you'll live to rue the day!!!

Let's Hop!

  2. I would assume it is some multi billionaire's private art collection, never to see the light of day again.

  7. Rather like when the Mona Lisa was stolen, it has a very curious tale associated with it.

No one claims to know who started Curious Events Day, but many years ago two young girls got on the old Angelfire site and put up a Fairy Calendar, with things like Buttering Up Finals, Wish Granting Championship Day, and the Curious Events Holiday on October 9. I'm wondering if someone saw it and it started from there.
