Patty O'Malley, greeting me this morning |
Sweetie did not come out of The Cat Hotel for breky today, probably on account of the Alberta Clipper that swooped in from Canada, bringing wind and deep cold. Patty, of course, rarely avoids a) a meal or b) being with me. Looks like he's been investigating all 'round the house, snow or no. The 'O' Cats will be on kibble rations for a while; it's too cold for wet food, which starts to freeze up before the cats can get more than a few mouthfuls. Over the years, The Hubby and I have tried: heated bricks, heated bowls, and bowls served in cardboard boxes to retain heat. None really work in the deep cold, so kibble is it.
Brrrr. It's cold here too and a few of us stepped out briefly. You two are hard core and we hope the kibble gives you loads of energy against that Clipper thing. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteIt's 8 degrees at our house today, so no canned for our outdoor feral either. I've tried heating it up in the microwave, but if he doesn't come immediately it's soon rock solid.
ReplyDeleteToo, too cold. We luff how Patty lets nothing stop him.

ReplyDeleteWe are in for some cold weather too. The wind is howling as I type this. Patty is a sweetheart. I only put out dry food now too for the strays. If I happen to see one of them outside I will whiz out a bowl of wet food for instant eating.
ReplyDeleteStay warm!
Kibble is always welcome any old time!
