Or, should we say, "Skwerl"!
Those rascally varmints, who tease our cats and dogs so!
However, they have their charms, no?
The way they leap, their floofy tails, and they'll beg for food.
Hey...maybe they should be called tree cats instead!
Below are a few images that I've snapped over the years, and I am thankful for the little critters.

They are cute and I love to watch them play. They are fast.
ReplyDeleteOur Angel Little Bit love squirrels. I'm sure she would have chomped them if she could have caught one, but she never did. We didn't let her kill critters.
Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥
Oh, I just love squirrels and so do the kitties. Those are some darling photos of 'tree cats' - MOL!
ReplyDeleteYou know we love our squirrels here!!!!
ReplyDeleteSquirrels are fun to watch! When the oaks trees start shedding their acorns in neighborhoods nearby- I gather some while taking walks and then share them with our squirrels ...I am hoping that maybe someday a little oak tree will appear! Cheers!
ReplyDeleteWe love Squirrels! Sometimes they get on top of our house and run around though and that makes Gabriel meow and get grumpy
ReplyDeleterocky { rocky and bullwinkle } would appreciate knowing he's got his "own day" !!
ReplyDeleteCute photos.
ReplyDeleteEven with our big feral family our squirrels still run and romp and have fun! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteTree cats - that's a perfect name for those squirrely critters.
ReplyDeleteWE don't have as many now that I can't fee the birds any longer. They have gone to greener pastures. :-)
ReplyDeleteI enjoy squirrels although they are very dangerous when we are biking. I admit to fussing at more than one indecisive tree rat running across the trail. LOL! Pierre on the other paw HATES them.
ReplyDeletei like your idea of calling them tree cats to make them seem more lovable!
ReplyDeleteYup! Squirrels are cute...and fast and sometimes destructive. Mostly they are entertaining and we like when they sit with their"hands" close to their chest as in your 1st picture :)
ReplyDeleteI put a leash on the laptop, told River to drag it around, and I spent the day pretending I was chasing squirrels.
ReplyDeleteHee! Hee! We LOVE your post! We have a squirrel who USED to come in our yard. Kozmo caught him last summer. |He was lucky, Kozmo was distracted by Cinnamon seeing that Kozmo had a squirrel and he managed to escape! Have a marvellously Happy Day!
ReplyDeleteHmmm, tree cats. Yeah, tree cats. Actually, they could be. Most of the ones we have here we watch flitting from tree to tree, chasing each other as if playing tag. I call them snacks.
ReplyDeleteTree Cats? What? These fellows need a lesson in manners to leave us alone
ReplyDeleteTree cats, I love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! We have white squirrels here, and they aren't albino, which is cool. Be well!
ReplyDeleteMany other bloggers see squirrels, but I never do here. I see fat raccoons and some skunks, but never squirrels...
