We started thrift-store shopping only years ago so as to find clothing that was made "before" ... like the real thing: all cotton, all linen, so on and so forth. And when buying new, willing to pay more for it to be "real". And so our best for the same with household stuff ... bamboo, glass, etc.
A renewable source that ought to be more utilized.
