The second of three Friday the 13th's in 2026 is today!
2026: February, March, November
I don't have many superstitions, other than making sure I start new projects during a new moon, and end things on a full moon.
Will pay attention to my intuition, I pick up found coins as it's good luck, and accept coincidences as signs from the gods.
Comment if you have any myths or superstitions that you believe.

Never start anything new on a Friday. One year rain was forecast and we had hay to cut. If it was done on the Friday it should be fit to bale before the rain in 4 days time. Ivor knew he shouldn't cut but did, then the rain came early on the Saturday and rained for 6 weeks. The hay crop was ruined. That is the one and only time we started anything on a Friday.
ReplyDeleteGoodness!
DeleteOf course I've grown up all my life hearing all kinds of superstitions. But it was one thing that I just never picked up on. I don't mind walking under a ladder when it's open, I'll bring a wet umbrella in the house if I have to while it's still open and I never throw salt over my shoulder, lol.
ReplyDeleteKnock on wood!
DeleteFun post ~ I tend to pick up coins and say knock on wood too '~ hugs ~ ^_^
ReplyDeleteIf the gods are going to toss coins for me to fine, then I'll take their offering as a sign that they are looking out for me.
DeleteI think of any Friday as good luck, no matter what the date...
ReplyDeleteThe end of the work week is so GREAT!
DeleteNo superstitions here either, we just take things as they come.
ReplyDeleteSo zen-like!
Deletemy ancestry is primarily Irish, how much time ya got on the whole superstitious thing ‼️🍀💚😸
ReplyDeleteHope to revisit Ireland soon; it's such a lovely place.
DeleteNot really superstitious here either. That's a lot of Friday the 13s for one year though!
ReplyDeleteI thought so too, which is why I've posted about them...and the plethora of cat memes.
DeleteI am superstitious except about black cats and Friday the 13th.
ReplyDeleteBlack cats are simply the bestest!
DeleteI do pick up coins because, hey, free money! We loved all of our black cats. Badlands Blackie was the best.
