#2 Friday the 13th

The second of three Friday the 13th's in 2026 is today!

2026: February, March, November


I don't have many superstitions, other than making sure I start new projects during a new moon, and end things on a full moon.

Will pay attention to my intuition, I pick up found coins as it's good luck, and accept coincidences as signs from the gods.

Comment if you have any myths or superstitions that you believe.

    Never start anything new on a Friday. One year rain was forecast and we had hay to cut. If it was done on the Friday it should be fit to bale before the rain in 4 days time. Ivor knew he shouldn't cut but did, then the rain came early on the Saturday and rained for 6 weeks. The hay crop was ruined. That is the one and only time we started anything on a Friday.

    Of course I've grown up all my life hearing all kinds of superstitions. But it was one thing that I just never picked up on. I don't mind walking under a ladder when it's open, I'll bring a wet umbrella in the house if I have to while it's still open and I never throw salt over my shoulder, lol.

    I do pick up coins because, hey, free money! We loved all of our black cats. Badlands Blackie was the best.
