Continuing on a theme:
Just a few more days to February!!!
The temps are well below average here, and a fair amount of snow too.
We also have both exploding trees (the sap expands in the cold, shredding the tree), and frost quakes or cryoseisms, (frozen ground cracks during rapid temperature drops, often with loud booms, and vibrations through the earth).
Eastside Cats' antique home has huge icicles hanging in a few locations, and these are not good news.
Weatherguessers give us at least another seven days in the bitter cold, yet we have it better than those who have lost power or had property destroyed by falling branches/trees due to ice, broken water mains flooding houses and streets, and ice jams on rivers, pushing water into more housing.
Stay safe out there, folks, and these sillies are just yucks to get us through it.

Let's Hop!

I too am very fortunate that even though we have 20 in of snow, the power is still on and the furnace is still running. At -9 this morning that has to be a record for this part of ohio. Let's just get February and get right down to april. Oh yes that means skipping March too, lol.
ReplyDeleteStay safe and warm. We're having below normal temps too but not as cold as the rest of our pals.

ReplyDeleteJanuary is a pretty depressing month. The holidays are over and everything is so dark and dreary. The only good part about it is extra kitty cuddle time!

ReplyDeleteIn this part of the world, we have had it milder than usual. I suspect a trap...
