May 20 was World Bee Day!
Folks, we'll really be in the soup if there are no bees; their pollinating efforts create food for so many critters, including humans.
No bees = no food.
Our governments need to focus on saving our planet and ALL of its inhabitants, as should every person who lives here.

Please be nice to the bees!
However, bees are insects, and to me, they don't really make great subjects for artification, so here's a sleepy Manny, with Lunapic's Color Pencil Sketch Effect, then the Mono filter in iPhoto.

Henry Update:
Henry seems to be sailing along.
If not with his past exuberance, then with at least an interest in watching out the windows, and hanging with his humans.
The H Man now walks across our bodies, and has nestled atop me like a mountaineer scaling great heights, with at least one paw squashing some unmentionable part of me.
😹😹😹
Let's Hop!

With the mainly cold weather that we've had, my honey bees have not been attracted to the sugar water for the Orioles and the hummingbirds yet. Manny did a great pose for the artwork. Glad to see Henry's getting back to normal a little bit better every day.
ReplyDeleteWe leave our garden pretty wild so that bees can thrive, and we make sure to have plenty of flowers for them!
ReplyDeleteVery "sweet" post this morning. Very interesting. Who knew...drunk bees? The Cat Bee is adorable, as is the drawing of the bees on the flowers. Love Manny's artification. Lovely filters. So happy the H Man is sailing along!
ReplyDeleteWe have bees that live in our fence. Sadly, they often "drink" out of our pool and that doesn't end well for them. Manny's artwork was great and Yay for Henry.
ReplyDeleteGood to hear Henry is aging well ~ Wonderful post about Bees ~ we need all of nature ~ Wonderful kitty art work ~
ReplyDeleteHugs ^_^
The poor bees seem to be having some problems now. Henry, let's get your problems behind you so you can continue to be happy and eating!
ReplyDeleteSweet pics. Glad Henry is doing better.
ReplyDeleteBees buzzing are an essential part of a hot summer day. Long may they buzz. Henry seems in good shape right now. Keep it up, my boy!
ReplyDeleteI once made a big sign that told people that our local "scary big" ground bees are harmless pollinators. :) Best wishes and good health!
ReplyDeleteI like the cat bee. Henry sounds like a love. XO
ReplyDeleteIs Henry giving you a free mammogram? MOL
ReplyDeleteWe all need to do everything we can to help the bees. They are really in trouble. :(
ReplyDeleteHenry, we are so happy you're doing well. Keep up the good work, okay? XO
We need bees more than we understand.
ReplyDeleteWe love our be friends as long as they love us in return
