Social Watch

June 30 is Social Media Day AND Meteor Watch Day.

Where did I get this cool chart?

You've guessed it: from social media!

😹😹😹

Have been a meteor shower watcher since forever.

Have fond memories of laying in the backyard, wrapped in a sleeping bag, looking up!

The Hubby went with me on a few adventures, but he hates mosquitoes...and being cold...and being up late, so I run solo when the heavens put on a show.

  1. I do remember when I was younger that I would love to be out to catch the lunar eclipses and the meteor showers. You'll just have to let me know when they are and what you saw. I'll probably be asleep.

  2. Not since growing up days in rural Indiana have I been a night-sky watcher, as mostly a city/or/suburban dweller ever since -- rare to see a single star there! Such a shame ...

  3. Yes, I grew up sky watching at night as well, now we have way too much light pollution to see much.

  4. I grew up on a farm and no matter what way you looked it was our property. The sky was a magical place.

Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the kitties. ♥

  7. I got a lot of celestial events through the years. And Vicky, thank you for the idea on my blog. I had not thought of that. My man was here and I brought the whole thing up to him.

  8. I'd rather be looking up than looking at social media. There is something timeless and ageless in watching the night sky.

  9. Thanks for the list of meteor showers. I printed it off for my hubby. I like being cold so I go out in the winter, but I skip summer ones. :)

  10. Great list! If it weren't for the mosquitoes, we might do more meteor watching. :)
