8/4 is International Owl Awareness Day.

Learn more here at European Wilderness Society.

I adore owls!  Have done since I was a kid.

That's why I have a top-hat-wearing, be-monocoled owl carrying books tattooed on my right arm!

I call him Mr. Owl.

Brandon, the tattoo artist, did a fabulous job here.

And a few owls with cats found-on-social-media images to your entertainment for today's 'holiday':

15 September is Felt Hat Day!

Am so very thankful to have such EXCELLENT cat models:

Sweetie says, "Meowdy, Pardners!" in her rakishly angled felt cowboy hat.

Um...Manny looks...er, um...interesting, in his felt top hat.

CB looks daggers while showing off his felt bowler hat.

Manny, you're doing it wrong!

Disclaimer: No cats were harmed during this photoshoot, even if they obviously preferred to be doing ANYTHING ELSE but wear those hats!

Eastside Cats will now show off their felt hats...

Sweetie wears a bowler.

A cowboy hat for Chili Bruce.

Hats on cats!
