The Hubby replaced the batteries in an old flashlight (or torch, as they say in the UK), and look what we found!
Yep, the non-working batteries had a super cool kitty design on them! My photo didn't turn out well, so I searched the interwebs...
Pretty cool artwork! Image from the internet and used for my amusement only |
Love the lightning bolt tail Images nabbed from the internet and used for my amusement only |
I do not recall seeing Eveready batteries with a cat on them before, but these are just a few of the images found during my search. Cool, huh?
Very! I remember this artwork on batteries.
ReplyDeleteVery cool and I linked this post to Feline Friday.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
This used to be part of their logo on all the batteries many years ago. I remember seeing it as a kid and thought it was really cool. Neat that they brought it back.
ReplyDeleteThat is cool, when we're fully charged we're ready too!
ReplyDeleteThat seems so familiar to me. Im sure my husband and I have seen them. Nice
ReplyDeleteI think they've been that way. Logos are one of those things we say every day and don't necessarily process. Now that you've pointed it out ... time to stock up on Eveready ;)
ReplyDeleteBetter than the energizer bunny. :)
ReplyDeleteThose must be some old batteries. But very cool!
ReplyDeleteI've never seen one exactly like that but I have saved a couple old Eveready batteries with the cat on them!
ReplyDeleteHow fun! I'd buy those just for the cat.
ReplyDeleteOur mom remembers the cat but hasn't seen it in eons!
ReplyDeleteYou must be just a kitten! They were famous for the black kitty on their batteries--it was the "9 lives" idea.
ReplyDeleteThese are great! The Human usually buys Duracells at Costco but now she's gonna go looking for these cause *lightning bolt tail*!! Woo-hoo!
ReplyDeleteI always liked the 9 Lives logo. I use Duracell now but I am sure my other rechargeable batteries are 9 Lives. I will have to check.
ReplyDeleteDad says he remembers that logo from years ago. And he calls ME an old fart?!
ReplyDeleteThat's a whole lot better than a bunny!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
Wow, I’ve never seen it before. What a cute design! I love the lightning bolt tail :-)
ReplyDeleteHow cool ! We've never seen it before ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteI remember them. :-)
ReplyDeleteWow! I had forgotten about the cat on the Eveready batteries. How fun!
ReplyDeleteOMD/OMC, Ma said she remembers the kitteh on the batteries too! shhhh...don't tells her I told you, cause she said it 'dates' her. ☺
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Mum remembers those but rarely sees them now.
ReplyDeleteWell I'll be a kit kat's aunty I've never seen an Everyready with a kitty either
ReplyDeleteHugs Cecilia
Oh yes, that is one of my all time fav logos. The Eveready kitty has been around very a very long time. I think Mom and Dad have some of those batteries somewhere in the house. Winks.
ReplyDeleteI'm pretty sure Eveready have always had a cat logo - at least for a long time. You'd think with 'nine lives', they would be easily re-chargeable.
ReplyDeletede food servizz gurl rememburrz de cat on de batt reez !!! :) ♥♥☺☺
ReplyDeleteOh wow! How cute! Our mom remembers that.
