Battery Cat

The Hubby replaced the batteries in an old flashlight (or torch, as they say in the UK), and look what we found!

Yep, the non-working batteries had a super cool kitty design on them!  My photo didn't turn out well, so I searched the interwebs...

Pretty cool artwork!

I do not recall seeing Eveready batteries with a cat on them before, but these are just a few of the images found during my search.  Cool, huh?

  3. This used to be part of their logo on all the batteries many years ago. I remember seeing it as a kid and thought it was really cool. Neat that they brought it back.

  6. I think they've been that way. Logos are one of those things we say every day and don't necessarily process. Now that you've pointed it out ... time to stock up on Eveready ;)

  12. You must be just a kitten! They were famous for the black kitty on their batteries--it was the "9 lives" idea.

  13. These are great! The Human usually buys Duracells at Costco but now she's gonna go looking for these cause *lightning bolt tail*!! Woo-hoo!

  14. I always liked the 9 Lives logo. I use Duracell now but I am sure my other rechargeable batteries are 9 Lives. I will have to check.

  22. Oh yes, that is one of my all time fav logos. The Eveready kitty has been around very a very long time. I think Mom and Dad have some of those batteries somewhere in the house. Winks.

  23. I'm pretty sure Eveready have always had a cat logo - at least for a long time. You'd think with 'nine lives', they would be easily re-chargeable.
