Thankful Thursday

A day early...

February 14 is Library Lovers' Day!
I LURV the library!
Any library, but my own in Mount Clemens has my librarian friends who know that every book that I order is a cat book. 😽

Through the library, I check out books, audiobooks, movies on DVD, and music.

I check out items from all of the libraries in the county, and they are delivered to my home library for pick up.

I check out items from the ENTIRE STATE using MeL (Michigan eLibrary), and they are delivered to my home library for pick up.

I have an app on my iPhone, where I can check out library ebooks and audiobooks.

Truly, my life changed when I discovered library audiobooks, which I listen to during my daily commute.

So thankful for LIBRARIES!!!💓

Let's Hop!

  5. I have never had and I hope I never have read a book via tablet or Nook.
I absolutely love the feel and smell of books...and I will admit to sometimes judging them by the cover.
    Love libraries!

  6. Yes, thank goodness for libraries! I've been going to my local since I was "in utero". My mother went there growing up and her parents learned to read English there. The library is one of my professional graphic design and photography customers too. I've been getting books there all my life, but back in 1996 after I'd lost two cats and was obviously deeply grieving the librarian suggested I check out a book on tape by James Herriott and listen to some happy endings. It was a perfect idea, and I've been listening since, through cassettes, CDs, DVDs, MP3s and now listen on my phone! My life would be much less without them.

  7. I get all my ebooks and audiobooks from my local library. The only thing I don't like is having to wait for a book I want.

  8. I LOVE the library too. I always have my 20 allowed holds from all over the area filled and then I use my hubby's card to order more.

I think the most wonderful library I've ever been to is the Abbey Library of Saint Gall! It's in Switzerland ;)

  14. We love libraries too, and are there at least once a week. Our library system has the same setup, such a convenient way to get books and such.
