Imagine finding your sidewalk stolen one morning!
And then, a week later, they brought it back, by pouring new concrete...
And today, it's ready; a new, flat sidewalk!
The workers neated up the edges, and sprinkled grass seed.
We are thankful for our new cement, and for a city that is working hard to pull itself up by its bootstraps after too many years of being scruffy.
Sidewalks mean a lot, when they are smooth and clean, rather than broken and heaved.
I always meet some of the nicest neighbors on the sidewalk!
Yes, those are my feet; I prefer to meet my furry friends on their level.
Let's Hop!

The sidewalk looks really nice and your furry friends do too! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDeleteA nice sidewalk is ever so appreciated. We have good ones here and we like them too. It's even better when you can meet cuteness too.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥
Nothing better than a new sidewalk - I wish our city would spiff ours up.

DeleteI think the squirrel prints are rather darling! Our neighbors cat was outside into dusk last night. She's far away from our yard but we can see her. I wish my cats could go outside. I just can't do it. But there is something magical I told my husband about a cat in a garden!
ReplyDeleteOh my whiskers! So far we've managed to escape the sidewalk thief in our neck of the woods!
ReplyDeletePurrs & Head Bonks,
Alberto
Nice sidewalks! No bumps or cracks to trip on. :)
ReplyDeleteWe love those squirrel prints! We don't see them in the dried surface, though--surely they weren't covered up? They were bound to make folks smile!
ReplyDeleteWe are sorry your sidewalk was stolen. At least it was replaced.
ReplyDeleteOh, your city pays for your sidewalks???? WE (the homeowners) have to pay for the sidewalks in front/sides of our houses!!!! Can you believes that??! sigh. Anyhu, your new sidewalk looks FABulous! And so does the tree rat prints 😂
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
Hooray for a new, flat and smooth sidewalk!!
ReplyDeleteWhen we had our concrete drive poured it was not ready yet for anything or anyone to be on it, our neighbor's dog walked across it...the prints are still there, 14 years later...
Phew! We're glad you got it back!!!
ReplyDeletePurrs,

ReplyDeleteOh, those little paw prints are the cutest!
ReplyDeleteGreat neighbors and what nice little markings you have to forever celebrate the laying of the sidewalk
ReplyDeleteWoW! They took it away and put in a new one! That is so cool! And your neighbors ROCK! |The cats I see when I go for a walk all run, because Cinnamon is there. :(
ReplyDeleteWell, if something has to be stolen, it may as well be sidewalks...
