Lord John *eyebrow waggle*

June 1 is World Outlander Day.

Below are pics gathered from who-knows-where, images taken from the Starz TV show "Outlander".

I've only listened to the audiobooks, (have only seen a few episodes of the TV show by borrowing the DVD's from the library) and many may not know that there is a secondary series that feature Lord John Grey.

A man in uniform...well, I just cannot resist!
Lord John appears throughout the Outlander books, but he's a major part in:

-Lord John and the Private Matter (2003)
-Lord John and the Brotherhood of the Blade (2007)
-Lord John and the Hand of Devils (2007)
-The Scottish Prisoner (2011)
-Steven Stones to Stand or Fall (2017)
Narrated by Jeff Woodman

A compelling character, played by Australian actor David Berry, Lord John is a military man, with many secrets and a penchant for getting involved with Jamie and Claire Fraser.

Am waiting with very little patience for Book 10 in the Outlander series; the author Diana Gabaldon has a title "A Blessing For A Warrior Going Out" but there is yet no publication date.

NO, dear friend E.T., I will NOT get a tattoo of Lord John, but I would buy a pair of pajamas with his likeness on them.

Lord John was my laptop wallpaper for a long while, until The Hubby grumbled a bit about it.

😽 *wink* 😽

June is Audiobook Month!
Will add some audiobook information with every post this month, since I really am a cray cray audiobook fanatic.

-Outlander (1991) (published in the UK, New Zealand and Australia as Cross Stitch)
-Dragonfly in Amber (1992)
-Voyager (1993)
-Drums of Autumn (1996)
-The Fiery Cross (2001)
-A Breath of Snow and Ashes (2005)
-An Echo in the Bone (2009)
-Written in My Own Heart's Blood (2014)
-Go Tell the Bees That I Am Gone (2021)
Narrated by Davina Porter

  1. What fun to have such a passion and idol. The hubby probably needs their own screen saver of the female lead in the series so you can balance things up. I think we prefer the Highlander movies from years back. But not watching TV as such, Mrs H and I tend to go with books first and let our imagination conjure the images to our own desire. ;)
    Have a lovely week

  3. The pj's sound like they could be a fun wear in cold weather. Oh yes, it is only 42 this morn! I am hoping this is the end of it though I do not like the idea that it is going to go from 55 days to 85 by Tuesday! Smokey sky is beautiful this morn, but sad to see.

  4. Hmmmm I have not gotten into Outlander ( but the Audio Books, now that is something I can get into). Living in the middle of nowhere, travel is at least 45 minutes. I listen to a ton of Audio Books, I shall have to keep my feelers out for sales on Outlander! You ROCK!! Barb

  5. Yes, this comment has a point, before I start.

Art Linkletter, on House Party, liked to ask children questions to get funny answers and one favorite was, "Have you ever been in love?"

One seven-year-old pint sized philosopher thought about it for a moment, then said, "No, but I've been in like!"

My Sweetie and I have an understanding, when he dotes on a female sports star, celebrity, etc., or I do the same with a male, we simply allow each other to "be in like" with such persons and let it go.

Simply tell your sweetheart you aren't in love, just in like, and give him permission to be the same if it ever happens.
