United Kingdom: Declawing is illegal in the UK
France: The practice is prohibited

Switzerland: The procedure is banned
Australia: Declawing is banned in Australia
New Zealand: Declawing is prohibited
Japan: Declawing is banned
Israel: The procedure is illegal
Brazil: Declawing is banned
Canada: Declawing is outlawed in nearly all of its provinces
Banned: refers to being not allowed, whereas illegal refers to being against the law.
An illegal act is inherently banned by the law, but a banned action is not necessarily illegal.
