Ideas:
- Say no to disposable plastic cutlery, plastic straws and other single-use plastics.
- Avoid plastics that cannot be recycled if other alternatives exist.
- Avoid products with excess or unnecessary plastic packaging.
- Adopt reusable items such as water bottles, shopping bags, keep cups and travel cutlery.
Plastic cutlery is now forbidden in France, and stores stopped giving out plastic bags more than 20 years ago!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
I buy my meat from a local butcher and fruit and veg is all grown locally. Both use only cardboard trays and brown paper for packaging. My supermarket delivery comes in crates with no bags which we unload on arrival. Anything else gets recycled too.
ReplyDeleteIt's still hard to avoid plastic. We get a lot of things shipped with items wrapped in plastic, but we recycle it of course. Surely there must be alternatives for packing materials.
ReplyDeleteMy mom tried to reuse too. A sample, she cut a milk bottle to use as a litter scoop. It works fantastic for her to clean up my pee sculpture =^x^=
ReplyDeletemum sez dat "she is wif stoopid too"
ReplyDeleteUgh I feel guilty! I use plastic bags from the grocery store for Levi's poop!!
ReplyDeleteI do that when cleaning her litterbox.
DeleteBRAVO! Repeat, repeat and repeat ... needs to be said repeatedly until we stop this environmental destruction with our frivolous waste ...
ReplyDeleteWell said.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
Good cartoon, and to the point.
ReplyDeleteWe're not fans of plastic at all, some of the hardest things to open are encased in plastic Grrrrr!
ReplyDeleteI call them "customer proof".
DeleteI try to be good, but I like plastic bags for cat poop and I am annoyed that stores keep banning them.
ReplyDeleteThe Earth will go on for eternity, but the souls riding on it may soon find is unsustainable.
