Spied

A few cuties seen while walking in my neighborhood:
Very friendly, but I've not met this cat before.
This cow-colored kitty is not afraid of me.
Am almost sure that this is Eightball, who needed medical attention in April.

Not seen regularly, this cat had a growing-out shaved area under his chin, just like Eightball had, even if it was several blocks from his feeding station.

😻

In honor of June is Audiobook Month, I recommend the following books by Fredrik Backman:

A Man Called Ove (2012)
Narrated by George Newbern

My Grandmother Asked Me to Tell You She's Sorry (2013)
Narrated by Joan Walker

My Friends (2025)
Narrated by Marin Ireland

This author brings charm, humor, and attention to the poignant details of everyday life.

I finished "My Friends" yesterday, while acquiring a couple of new tattoos; it's a masterpiece worth the five star rating that I gave it.

  1. It is lovely to see cats out and about. We have one just like that tuxedo on the doorstep image you shared.
    Have a lovely week!

  3. How wonderful to meet some friendly furry little faces on your walk. My mom and dad will be hitting another stretch of the Delaware River Canal Towpath this morning, where they typically encounter deer, geese families, and herons. On one of their most recent walks on the path, they spotted high in a treetop a bald eagle, too!

  4. How fun to see these cats when you're walking. I always look around when I'm walking and when I'm riding shotgun I look at porches and windows.

  7. Your Neigborhood cats are cool! Ours, Lucifer, is STILL eluding all the traps (3 peeps have set them out). But with knowing him, and what happened, the Peeps in our neighborhood are much more forgiving and less hostile (and are feeding him too). Keep being AWESOME! Marvelous Marv

  8. I hope Eightball is all right now - and this new one, if it isn't him...
