September 7 is National Buy a Book Day!
No such thing as too many books.
You just need more shelves.
Need I add that many of our fellow bloggers are published authors, and their fine writing is worth a purchase.
Or give editions away as gifts to friends, family, or donate to your library to be placed on their loan shelves.
Writers have to write, and it's really nice for them to get some funds in return, no?
📚 ❤️ 📚
I have so many books I am still waiting to read that I have stopped myself buying any more for at least a month.
ReplyDeleteTalking of blogging authors, you love cats and sci-fi, have you read Mollie Hunt's Cat Summer and Cat Autumn. I have yet to read Cat Winter.
Every time I read a book, I'm already thinking of the next one I want to read. Even though I thoroughly enjoy what's in my hand.
ReplyDeleteNow that's a day worth celebrating. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy National Buy a Book Day!
We have books all over the house and #1 got another pile for her birthday!
ReplyDeletePurrs,
The Chans
I've had to empty drawers that normally hold clothes to store my books....I am selfish and don't want to give them up just yet !!! maybe later ;) !!
ReplyDeleteGurl, I am like that! I can't give them up. I have shelves and shelves of books, so many.
DeleteI bought 2 at a book sale yesterday so I hope that counts. :)
ReplyDeleteHubby is the major bookworm around here, he has enough books to start a library...that is if you like engineering, theology and computery-geek stuff...oh and financial stuff...There are but a few other genres.
ReplyDeleteI don't know who the cartoonist is whose creation is first here, but he does seem to like books, judging from his output.
ReplyDeleteI have resorted to donating some of my books (already read ones) to my local library since I have so many.
ReplyDeleteThose are good ones and yes, there are some darn good writings in the blogosphere.
ReplyDeleteThankfully with e-readers no more shelves are needed!
ReplyDeleteHow we love our books, and for good reason.
