And Some More 'Hood Cats!

As I work on honing my Cat Observer skills, this new kitty appeared!

My guess is it's a boy, but he wouldn't come near me when I did my smoochie noises and coos.  I've nicknamed him 'Harlequin'.  Although this was the first time I have seen him, I am confident that he lives at the house that he was dancing in front of.  Since I walk past this house almost daily, it's probable that Harlequin is a new resident.

More Harlequin...
Then, lo and behold, one of the Floofy Tail sisters decided to say hello!  She rolled on the walk for me to pet her tummy, and she LURVs chin scritches. When my phone came out, she walked away and refused to come back any closer.

We've know both Floofy Sisters for years, but they are not always around.  More streetwise hipsters than hausfraus, they wander around the yards, and keep themselves to themselves.  Every time I see them, I offer them food and lodging at Chez Eastside Cats, and point the way to our house.  As of yet, neither had taken me up on my offer.
The Hubby and The POM
Just in case you were worried that I was neglecting our own clowder, here is proof that Patty O'Malley (POM) can really work his magic on everybody!

  2. Harlequin is a great nickname! There used to be a lot of Tuxedo kitties in my neighborhood. But many have moved away. Mom takes photos of neighborhood kitties on her walks, too. (whistling) That Floofy Tail Sister is a black beauty! Mew Mew!

  5. If I lived in your neighborhood, I would get in trouble for catnapping. I would snatch all these beauties up and take them home.:)

  8. Harlequin is such a handsome cat! I never get to say hello to the cats in our neighborhood because when I'm walking I always have the dog with me, and she thinks cats are for chasing.

  11. Nice that you're keeping up with the neighbor cats. We have a new cat in one of the bottom floor apartments. TW scritches it through the window but always forgets to bring her camera.

  12. There are quite a few feline neighbors here as well, and some people tell dad they're surprised their cats let dad pat them. I've heard before that we cats have a way of recognizing a human who loves our ilk.
