Thankful Thursday: Sweet Angel Baby

Look at that cutie!
Our Angel has lovely soft fur, a beguiling flop-over-and-purr routine that sucks in any human nearby, and is rather photogenic.  She is also dead set against being nice to any other cat, believes 5:30 am is a reasonable hour for interaction, and meows her head off if she can hear The Hubby's voice but not get near him.  We are thankful for her persnickety attitude, for she's taught us that one must stand up for one's desires, and that...with planning...things can work out, even if there isn't perfection. I, for one, need this lesson repeated over and over again; to accept, because fighting for perfection is like banging one's head against a brick wall.

  1. Angel, you are just too cute and you sound like you have a great personality. There are several here that don't like other cats. Nothing wrong with that. You all have a great day.

  2. Angel is so beautiful. She is also, clearly, a very wise teacher. My girl Eddy sounds a lot like Angel when it comes to other cats. Eddy's having some trouble accepting the kittens (she's actually sort of terrified of them), so she's taught me that sometimes we have to just make things work the best we can. Purrs to all of you!

  8. Angel, Whiskeratti said what we were going to say. We agree. And we think you are as soft as an angel's wing.

  9. Our Humans believe that we felines can teach them a lot too, but sadly, sometimes they don't listen!

  11. Yikes that's early. We awoke to a note that zach had put a dead mouse found on the floor in the trash can. INSIDE. He could have put it outside. Oh well. Thank you cats for the catch and kill

  14. Recovering perfectionist here too :) What made the most difference to me is realizing my friends who had their quirky faults were more lovable than the friends that maintained the facade of perfection. We're human. We're supposed to act like it. I take so many lessons from Bear. He's not perfect in any objective sense ... but his personality is still perfect.

  17. Someone pointed out to us that we are never as hard on other people as we are on ourselves so we need to go a little easier on the people we know best US!
