Oops!
Sweetie got up close and pursonal! Even though this is a photo fail, I still like how her eyes looks, and that fang thang... |

1. The best teacher I ever had was working in the corporate world. Boy, you get 'schooled' in so many ways; both good and bad. And, my cats have taught me some very precious things; how to love unconditionally, how to make one's needs known, how to be gentle, and how to say goodbye.
2. The worst teacher I ever had was our music teacher in elementary school. She yelled at me in class, when we all had tambourines, sticks, and bells to play, and I got so excited that I laughed, and she embarrassed me enough that I didn't want to make music anymore.
3. I recently learned how to PILL A CAT! I dropped a pill down Paddy O'Malley's gullet yesterday, held his mouth closed until he swallowed, and I feel darn proud of myself. Today, the sores caused by his constant scratching appear to be healing already.
4. I think everyone should know how to work at a fast food restaurant. You learn to wait on customers, clean bathrooms, make change, follow directions, work efficiently, wipe tables, sweep parking lots, and so many little things that carry over into real life! I worked at an Arby's Roast Beef while in high-school and college, and I learned how to pay my own bills too. Downside: smelling like meat, and wearing that ugly uniform, but I rocked the kerchief tying back my hair! 😁

That is a great Sweetie photo and hooray for getting that pill thing accomplished!
ReplyDeleteGiving cats pills is my least favourite part of being a cat owner. I've got the knack down using a towel to swaddle them so they can't escape/scratch out.
ReplyDeleteLove all the answers and that teacher was awful. I can see why you were turned off on that class.
ReplyDeleteWay to go on the pill. Hardest thing in the world to get a kitty a pill when they don't want said pill.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. ♥
Glad to hear you didn't lose any appendages when you pilled the kitty! Love the fang-- one of Zulu's is longer than the other--it is so cute!
ReplyDeleteLOVE the toofies in your "photo fail." We don't think this is a photo fail, either! GREAT fill-ins! Mom had a music teacher like that, too. Only he was also a math teacher. Mom still loves music, hates math, however. Related? Hmm, could be!
ReplyDeleteMy algebra teach was kissin' cousins to your music teacher!!!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the pill tomorrow. LOL Madi learned quickly what pilling was all about.
Hugs Mom of Madi
I'm sorry that happened to you with the music teacher. I hope you've regained your desire to make music! And congrats on #3!
ReplyDeleteThat's not a photo fail! Arbys=double meat. Heh. Actually TW only stopped at one Arby's on tour and REM were at the same one. MOL!
ReplyDeleteWe love Sweetie up close and purrsonal! Great fill in answers too. One thing, if you can, when pilling a cat, always try to follow the pill with a syringe of water or some wet food so the pill doesn't get stuck in the throat.
ReplyDeleteGreat fill ins. Pilling a cat depends on the cat. Some are pretty good and take the pill. Someare sneaky and spit out the pill while walking away. You did very well. I just about strangled our kitty when I first tried it. Eventually I got in the grove. Kali was the easiest cause if you caught her sleeping or dozing off she would eat anything. Jean
ReplyDeleteFunny how those elementary school teachers can change the course of our lives for the worst. I remember an art project in third or fourth grade that "blew away" {they were drying outside} ... yet mine was the only one. And the art teacher essentially did the re-make so it was "better." I know accidents happen and even I can't logically claim that my art didn't have help ... but I've always suspected. And if you knew the art teacher ... she was a bit of a perfectionist, it makes more sense.
ReplyDeleteThat picture is SO precious!!! I avoid pilling at all costs LOL
ReplyDeleteWe kinda like your photo fail too. Rusty loves to stick his face in the camera, which makes it hard to get a good picture.
ReplyDeleteWe wish our mom could learn #3!!
ReplyDeleteMOL, The Female Human got a photo just like this of my brother Alberto!

Cute photo fail :) Thank you for participating in the fill-ins, great answers. Cats do teach us a lot. Sorry about your music teacher, it is sad how many teachers ruin a subject for someone forever. Good job pilling POM, glad he is healing already. I also blow on the cat's nose, a trick I learned from a vet (it makes the cat swallow).
ReplyDeleteI enjoyed your fill-ins. AND that the Paddy O got pilled successfully I wish I could do that here.
ReplyDeleteSweetie looks fabulishious! And Mom LOVED your fillins! She thinks #4 is important. She spent 18 years working in the hotel industry and says she learned more about people and how to treat them than she ever would have in any university course.

working at McDonalds was a joy for me as a teen. I met myhusband working there!
ReplyDeleteI love Sweetie’s super close up! Cats are great teachers for sure. We learn so much from them.
ReplyDeleteYay for learning to pill a cat! That’s not an easy task and is quite an accomplishment :-)
Far as I'm concerned there's nothing "fail" about this one! I think this is an awesome up close selfie, my friend!!
ReplyDeleteCute close-up ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteLove that close up!
ReplyDeleteI was useless at music and still am though I love to sing. At school I only got to play the triangle. My brother is the musical talent in our family.

Cool fang and nosie up close photo. You remind me of my Twitter furr-iend Otis Fuzz. He has a single fang and is a chat noir, too. Tummy tickles.
ReplyDeleteWe're all very sad 'bout your music teacher. We luv music here and wish everypawdy did. Makin' music can be so satisfyin' and feed your soul. And of course, it can calm the savage beasty. We're sendin' big hugs. Oh and we luv the foto.
ReplyDeleteLuv ya'
