March 19, 2012

We trapped Paddy O'Malley on 3/19/12.

He was transported to the low-cost spay-and-neuter clinic on 3/20/12, and we picked him up on 3/21/12 to release him into the backyard.

Paddy was the only cat, so far, that when released from the trap, walked straight up to me for head bonks, instead of running off.

Yes, our love affair began then, and continues now in spirit form

Not having him to hold, to smooch, to laugh at, and to feel his rumbling purrs, is dismal, but the memories of such joyous emotions, along with 10,000 plus photos and many videos, soothes the soul.

What date should we use to celebrate PO'M:
3/19, 3/20, or 3/21?

Why, ALL OF THEM!

My birthday is Sunday, so he and I will always have that shared experience, on our special day.

  2. Happy birthday! If you feel a little pressure on your legs on that day, it's probably the PO'M coming by to rub up against you. But he's undoubtedly watching you and loving you every day.

  11. What a sweet kitty and nice memories. We adopted an outside cat, too, a long time ago. Even though she only had 4 teeth left, she lived quite a long time with us. After she had an encounter with a raccoon, we started keeping her inside, and every since then all of our cats are inside ones.
