¡Feliz Cinco de Mayo!

"Cinco de Mayo, a holiday celebrated on May 5 in parts of Mexico and the United States in honor of a military victory over the French forces of Napoleon III in 1862, known as the Battle of Puebla."

Read more here.

I broke out the Cat Hats box, and found the sombrero.

Tried Henry first; he wasn't in the mood.
He looks absolutely fiendish!
Henry: "Bring that closer, and I'll cut you!"

Next up: Chili Bruce.
Wriggle, wriggle, wriggle...no chance of it sitting on his head long enough for a pic.
CB: "Not this again!"

I said, "Manny, make me proud!"
Manny: "I'm outta here!", and I followed him as he tried to distance himself.
In the end, he wore the sombrero for long enough to get some terrific images; doesn't he look like he was having fun?  So handsome!

Promise, no cats or humans were injured in the making of this photo shoot.

Astro-Cinco

National Astronaut Day is an American commemorative day held on 5 May since 2017, commemorating the first United States human spaceflight, on 5 May, 1961, piloted by astronaut Alan Shepard.
😹😹😹

5 May is also known for taco and tequila consumption for Cinco de Mayo.

Sweetie, in her sombrero.
More popular in the United States than in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo is mostly associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture, hence to reference to tacos and tequila.
