National Astronaut Day is an American commemorative day held on 5 May since 2017, commemorating the first United States human spaceflight, on 5 May, 1961, piloted by astronaut Alan Shepard.
😹😹😹
5 May is also known for taco and tequila consumption for Cinco de Mayo.
Sweetie, in her sombrero. |
More popular in the United States than in Mexico, Cinco de Mayo is mostly associated with the celebration of Mexican-American culture, hence to reference to tacos and tequila.
🌮🌮🌮
Boy, I am so old now, lol. The astronaut day reminds me how we watched them land on moon at school on TV. In the gym that was encircled by the first thru 8th grade classrooms. I will tell you I was no where near being in the 8th grade yet.
ReplyDeleteHaving lived on the Space Coast for 23 years love everything SPACE ... now for some tequila! Oh, best wait a bit, it's only 6:56 am here ... sigh.
ReplyDeleteIt's noon somewhere, though. :D
DeleteHappy Astronaut Day! Those cartoons are so funny. Looking muy bonita in your sombrero, Senorita Sweetie! XO
ReplyDeleteThose were fun astro kitties and that explains a lot about the aliens LOL! Happy Mayo Day!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great pose Sweetie's give. She looks fantastic in that hat.
ReplyDeleteSweetie looks so cute. We have the same sombrero. XO
ReplyDeleteCats on the moon, that would be a game changer
ReplyDeleteSweetie, you look like a million!!
ReplyDeleteAstronauts are very brave, they really are taking their lives in their hands doing their job.
ReplyDeleteCinco de Mayo wasn't even thought of until the beer companies decided they needed a holiday to exploit! I'd rather celebrate Cinco de Meow.
