It's Twozday!
As Chili Bruce can be such a lap cat, and Manny moons around like he wants a lap too, we decided to find a comfy chair for us to sit in, making maximum lap area.
My purrsonal goal: read a book, using the lap cat(s) as a book rest.
However, Da Boyz, so far, prefer to use the chair themselves, without human involvement.

If a cat is in the chair, I'll pick him up, and snuggle him in my lap.
CB will stay maybe a full minute.
Manny is away in seconds.

Manny and Chili Bruce are so darling and look at his hand on the top of that chair—that's MINE!
They are very sweet though and you just have to let them rule in THEIR home!

Look at it this way, it makes for beautiful living artwork when they kiddies are snuggled up in it. And I love the color by the way.
I've dropped by book (and phone!) on my snuggly lap cats before. I felt so bad!
Ah, the story of life in our 1-room apartment. Of course, JUNE has claimed the polka dot chair as hers/hers alone, tho it's my preference evenings (a recliner) ... and she's not "big" on sharing, nor is she a lap-cat. Our one other chair (looks a bit like yours, Ikea, sans foot rest) she's come to accept as "also hers". I think I'm about to be relegated to the floor or the day bed, all that remains ... they do say, cats rule.

We have chair thieves here too. Bless their hearts. Sometimes we pick them up and put them in our laps and lots of time we sit somewhere else.

They are precious and no matter what they do, they are in the right. At least, that's what they tell me.

We used to have one of those chairs and stools - and yeah - more often than not it was full of cats!
