Manny, looking adorbs as he used my lap as his oasis from bird-watching in the windows, and snoopervising The Hubby in the kitchen.

That little white dot just under his nostril proves that this is Manny, since his big white tummy patch, known as his underwear, isn't visible.

 It's difficult to read a book when Chili Bruce wants my lap!

Photographic proof that it's MY chair!

Chili Bruce became a lap cat awhile ago; he'd jump into my lap while I sat at the table.

Manny only recently joined the crowd...on MY chair.

However, CB gives his brofur a hiss or two sometimes, when they are sharing accomodations on my lap/legs, which sends one or the other away.

Really not sure what that is all about, but you know...cats!

It's Twozday!

As Chili Bruce can be such a lap cat, and Manny moons around like he wants a lap too, we decided to find a comfy chair for us to sit in, making maximum lap area.

My purrsonal goal: read a book, using the lap cat(s) as a book rest.

However, Da Boyz, so far, prefer to use the chair themselves, without human involvement.

"You can't; it's mine!"

 If a cat is in the chair, I'll pick him up, and snuggle him in my lap.

CB will stay maybe a full minute.

Manny is away in seconds.

Sure was an expensive cat beddy.

It's Sweetnesday!

Queen Sweet had her Solensia shot, along with a pawdicure and an 'undercarriage' comb-out.

She was rarin' to get out!

So happy...I almost cried.

Back home again, with her head mashed into her Sweetie Spa.

Sweetie does not allow her humans to trim her nails (hence, the sobriquet 'Murder Mitts'), nor can I comb her underarms, tummy, or nether regions.

Don't like the idea that her tangled furs might pull and be ouchie.

Yes, The Eastside Cats paid for the veterinarian's new boat over the past week.

P.S. Thank you kindly for the comments for Manny and Chili Bruce, after their dentals.

They are doing well: eating normally, using the box normally, but maybe not so playful.

While combing through my photo library, I've found masses of as yet unpublished photos of our much-loved mancat.

What a lap cat!

Celestial Paddy was our first cat to climb into my lap.

I'd write that he was our only cat, so far, who liked laps, but Chili Bruce has begun to enjoy a 10-15 minute snuggle session once in awhile, and he's even perched on The Hubby when on the yoga mat.

Outside Lap Cat

PO'Monday!

Paddy climbs into my lap the moment I make one for him.

I must use a jacket or my heavy canvas apron to protect my body from his claws, and he obviously thinks I'm simply making a more comfy lap for his snooze!

Often, while fulfilling my role as human cat bed and The PO'M sleeps, I'll chat on the phone, or listen to my audiobook.

Sunny Tabby

PO'Monday!

 Although it's bright and sunny, the temperatures are cold.  The PO'M likes to sit on my lap and drowse.  

My effort at being a convenient cat bed wars with my personal need to be warm, but I tough it out, as The PO'M is a somewhat oversized heaty pad...

I often conduct phone conversations while he rests in my lap like this.

We all are hopeful for warmer days ahead.

Aries, my new lap cat!

Yep, who knew?  Aries, the neighbor's cat who now eats and sleeps on our backyard deck, is also my new lap cat!  No other kitty of our acquaintance will make use of human lap real estate, but Aries is a lover and gave me some purrs and pets.

Patty O'Malley, of course, takes exception to any other cat receiving attention from me, and he manages to get in the way of photos or petting sessions when the mood is upon him.  Little Sweetie will give Patty a swat and a yowl, but she runs off out of range, and Aries turns his back of disdain to me, as a warning from getting too close or else Patty will break up the party!  As much as I've tried to put an end to this territorial display from Patty, he continues to do it and we all just have to live with it.
