How Lucky We Were!

PO'Marathon: Day 14

August 7, 2021

One year ago, I helped my soul cat leave for The Rainbow Bridge.

After being inside for less than a fortnight, he became terribly sick.

My veterinarian made room on her busy Saturday schedule, and I learned that my love hadn't much chance of recovery.
One of the last pics taken of PO'M.
My PO'M Shrine.
I embarked on the PO'Marathon to help me come to grips with losing him.

Yet...how very lucky we were to have him in our lives.

Thank you, readers, for your words of condolence and love.

On The Watchtower

PO'Marathon: Day 11

Celestial Paddy kept his eyes on me!
From on top of the food station.
"Whatcha doing, human?"
"I don't want to come in, but I'm keeping my eyes on you!"

Grinworthy

PO'Marathon: Day 10

August, 2020: Celestial Paddy O'Malley could make anyone grin, just by being himself.
He probably thought he always looked regal, yet he was just a goofball.

In The Early Days

PO'Marathon: Day 9

2012 Videos of Celestial Paddy O'Malley

The car hood was a nice place to rest.
You see, I began my quest to coax The PO'M inside in 2012!

Such poor videography; my apologies.

Camera phones have come a long way in a decade.

P.S. Thank you so very much for your comments of encouragement on yesterday's post.

Chinny McChinface

PO'Marathon: Day 8

Celestial Paddy O'Malley even looked good from below!😹
Images from August, 2014

A wave of missing The PO'M hit me so hard yesterday afternoon, that it took my breath away.

The daily hours I spent in his presence are now used for reading or surfing the interwebs.

Less time being outside, in the gardens, breathing the air, communing with nature.

The backyard is empty now.

Was hoping the PO'Marathon would help shed the deep loneliness that I feel.

Maybe yes, maybe no: time will tell.

Thank you, readers, for traveling this road with me.

Whoopsie

PO'Marathon: Day 5

As handsome as he was, this batch of PO'M photos came out blurred, over bright, and...*ahem*...unflattering!

Blame the one holding the camera.

Dramatic

PO'Marathon: Day 4

Celestial Paddy was drawn to drama; looks like he was emoting in a Shakespeare play!

Paddy had such a huge purrsonality; he was the William Shatner of Eastside Cats.

We are so thankful that we had front row seats for many years.

First Lap Cat

Let's Celebrate Paddy O'Malley, with a PO'Marathon!

While combing through my photo library, I've found masses of as yet unpublished photos of our much-loved mancat.

Hope you enjoy an extended walk down memory lane.

These three images were taken a few days before he became on inside cat; July, 2021.
What a lap cat!

Celestial Paddy was our first cat to climb into my lap.

I'd write that he was our only cat, so far, who liked laps, but Chili Bruce has begun to enjoy a 10-15 minute snuggle session once in awhile, and he's even perched on The Hubby when on the yoga mat.
