Have been wearing eyeglasses since I was four-years-old, and let me tell ya, back then, there were only two options for children: pink or blue.

Then, years later, maybe a light tan, or clear.

Nowadays, the sky's the limit, and I for one am very pleased that kids are to be able to choose what shows off their purrsonality.

The H Man is doing well; eating, using the litter box, and mostly taking his meds without too much fuss.

Henry Update:

It was brought to my attention that Henry's antibiotics and probiotics should NOT be administered at the same time.

Thank you, Sue from The Island Cats!

As of Friday, I'm giving Henry the probiotics capsule at least two hours before administering his antibiotics at the 8 PM med dose.

Maybe this will help with his poopy issue, after weeks of doing it wrong!

The H Man most likely has intestinal lymphoma, and after giving him handfuls of meds for almost two months, the only change is that he's eating regularly.

Opting for chemo, in any form, seems incredibly harsh and I have apprehensions.

Even so, we will go ahead with it soon.

Henry Update:

Henry hid on Saturday morning, to avoid his meds.

Henryville has two bedrooms, the spare room, and the old kitchenette, as well as my office.

I must close doors to remove access to Henry's hideaways, but didn't latch one well enough, and it swung open enough for him to sneak off to the linen closet.

In the end, he received his doses.

Someone needs to do a better job of door management!

Turkey!

The Hubby found a frozen turkey on sale: he defrosted and cooked it, ground up the meat, and stowed it away for cat food.

Manny and Chili Bruce have been through this routine before, and they simply LOSE THEIR MINDS when that aroma hits their snoots.

Henry Update:

Giving Henry his fiber powder via pill rather than in his food is working so far.

He is still on both appetite stimulant and anti-nausea meds, and is eating smaller amounts multiple times a day.

Henry Update:

Henry is eating well; he continues to get the appetite stimulant and anti-nausea meds.

If he's hungry during the night, and he's licked him bowl clean, he does one of two things:

1) licks the empty bowl, rocking it so I wake up to the rattle.

2) peers in my face, so I wake up to his wee peeping meows.

Have improved my delivery of his capsules of B12 and probiotics, by simply coating them in the pill pocket goo, then down the hatch they go!

The H Man has been eating, and we've got a good med routine.

Am taking as a good sign that he chewed his catnip fish toy to pieces; there is catnip all over the floor.

A Rare Sighting!

Whoops, April 25, yesterday, was Independent Bookstore Day.

Am a reader of books and ebooks, plus a listener of audiobooks.

I cannot pass up a bookstore, and enjoy used bookstores the most, or any bookstore that has a resident cat!

Today is National Pet Parent Day, celebrated on the last Sunday in April.

The Hubby, dedicated pet parent, snuggling with Chili Bruce; an ussie for Sunday Selfies Blog Hop.

Shhh...don't tell him that I'd posted this, since he prefers to stay behind the scenes.

Henry Update:

Beginning tomorrow, we add B12 pills to Henry's med rotation.

He'd received a shot at last Monday's vet visit, so now it's time to keep that good stuff going.

Dr. Google says:

Vitamin B12 (cobalamin) is essential for cats to support digestion, immune system function, cognitive health, and red blood cell formation. It is vital for metabolic processes, including DNA synthesis and energy production. Because cats cannot synthesize B12 themselves and often lose it through gastrointestinal disease, supplementation is crucial for those with chronic vomiting, diarrhea, or weight loss. 

The H Man has been eating regularly...knock wood!

April 19 is National Cat Lady Day, celebrating the bond between women and felines, rebranding the 'cat lady' stereotype from negative to empowering.

Henry Update:

Friday, he's had a healthy appetite.

Except when it comes to churus; now, he's not very keen on them.

That's okay, as I'd rather he eat good canned cat food instead of those treats.

Monday morning is our vet visit.

I hope, hope, hope that I must edit this with better news before it posts.

He quit eating again, and I've tried every trick with smelly food, warm food, churus, and even doubled up his appetite stimulant.

He just drank from his water bowl, so we've got that going for us.

A few more purrs would be a great help, thanks.
