What light through yonder window breaks?

Eastside Cats is thankful for sunpuddles!

Chili Bruce

Manny

Yeah, okay...maybe you cannot grasp the intensity of the sunpuddles in these pics, but they were there, and were enjoyed by those of both the feline and human varieties.

For now, we're out of the seemingly perpetual deep freeze that Michigan has been in, called Polar Vortexes, Alberta Clippers, or Arctic Blasts.

I even switched to my thigh-length winter coat, from my to-the-shins puffer...woot!

Alberta Clipper

Patty O'Malley, greeting me this morning
Sweetie did not come out of The Cat Hotel for breky today, probably on account of the Alberta Clipper that swooped in from Canada, bringing wind and deep cold.  Patty, of course, rarely avoids a) a meal or b) being with me.  Looks like he's been investigating all 'round the house, snow or no. The 'O' Cats will be on kibble rations for a while; it's too cold for wet food, which starts to freeze up before the cats can get more than a few mouthfuls.  Over the years, The Hubby and I have tried: heated bricks, heated bowls, and bowls served in cardboard boxes to retain heat.  None really work in the deep cold, so kibble is it.
