Be An Anipal!

 October 4 is World Animal Day!

“There is no fundamental difference between man and animals in their ability to feel pleasure and pain, and happiness and misery.”

– Charles Darwin

~~~
Animal: a living thing that can move and eat and react to the world through its senses, especially of sight and hearing.
~~~

Respect animals in every bit of your daily life, and encourage honest conversation about how we each can make an impact to the good.

Let's be pals to all animals.

Last night, I learned that a neighbor has been feeding a juvenile raccoon for months.

She said there were two small raccoons without a parent in that tree, and now only one appears for meals.

Raccoons are a native species to Michigan, but are not endangered.

In general, any wildlife can be harmed by becoming acclimated to humans, which is NOT the goal of World Animal Day.

And yet, anyone reading this post is an animal lover, and will go to great lengths to help any critter.

The world is a huge place, so being kind to all of the creatures, great and small, can only be a good thing.
