Nekkid tailio and LumaSoothe

Chucky, sniffing 'round the garden
Chuck's fur has not grown over the shaved area on his tail much. See the little nekkid area in this photo?  It's been almost eight weeks!
You can see to nekkid part in his shadow!

So, this is the perfect chance to try out the LumaSoothe that I had won from Deziz World, to help re-grow that tailio fur.
Outer package

Trial run on Angel's hips
The LumaSoothe comes with two heads; one for topical healing, the other for deeper therapy.  I've done a couple of trial runs on Angel, who sits for about a full minute before voicing her feelings.  I immediately stop, because I want this to be a pleasant experience.

Chuck was not having it for a second!  When I turned on the LumaSoothe, he jumped away and wanted no part of these new shenanigans, and we've had the same result every time I've tried. Next time, we'll find him when he's deeply conked out during an afternoon nap, so he as mellow as he can possibly be.  This could work for him; he just needs to get used to the idea.  After all, The Hubby now calls him, "Meat Stick" due to the way Chuck's tail looks like two hot dogs.  Poor Chucky!

  2. OHHHHHHHHHH I hope it works lickety split. Mom watches lots of vet shows. Many of them are using laser treatment to speed up healing. This must work in a similar way.

  4. Wow, eight weeks? That's some slow growing hair. Hopefully the LumaSoothe treatments will help...if he stays put anyway!

  5. I've never heard of LumaSoothe or light therapy for cats, but it seems it would feel good. Connor can relate to Chucky--he had so much fur shaved off for surgery and it's slow to come back. Or seems slow to me.

  8. Have you considered trying a Bach flower essence? We've had good luck using them on Lucy. Poor guy--it looks worse because of his black furs too.

  11. Chuck, both Ivan and I would be glad to be fur donors! And we think your dad deserves a nip or two for calling you such a mean name.

    ~Your pal, Elliott.
