I had the immense pleasure of visiting
The Island Cats and The Lady with the Yellow Hair, Susan, last week. I met Wally, Zoey and Ernie in their natural habitat, but refrained from using the camera so I could devote all of my energies to making smoochie noises and squeeing with delight! Sue and I had met up previously, when we visited The Ferndale Catfe' Lounge; my post about that is
here.

Alpaca fingerless gloves...for texting in the cold! |
After our romp with the alpacas, turkeys, and basically enjoying the great outdoors, we ate lunch at
Bobcat Bonnie's in Wyandotte. Delicious food, with vegan and vegetarian choices (Yay!), huge portions, and another 'cat' to enjoy!

Vegan options, and the food was yummy!

Thank you for the warm wishes for Chuck!

The family that lost Champ and Nala are still reeling from the emotions, but are grateful for the outpouring of love and sympathy
Those alpacas are pretty adorable! Not as adorable as The Island Cats of course ... but we all know cats rule!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos! We love Sue and her Island Cats!!!
ReplyDeleteHow cool that you could meet Sue and The Island Cats in fur ! Those alpacas are adorable ! Purrs
ReplyDeleteLook at those necks, they look like ostriches, kinda. PS: remember the HopCat post? I got them to send me all three rewards cards, with different cat artwork. Pretty neat stuff!! And we don't even have any HopCats here.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is so cool! When I was in Minneapolis a week ago, a brand new HopCat opened the day I left, so they are spreading out!
DeleteIt sounds like you had a purrfect vacation! Meeting Ernie, Wally, Zoey, and their mom Sue, and then meeting some lovely alpacas. Sounds like a fantastic time to us!
ReplyDeleteNow how come the mom hasn't taken us over to meet those alpacas???

ReplyDeleteAny mention of alpacas and our mom thinks of a very very old novelty record her sister had sung by Edd Byrnes (77 Sunset Strip). Elliott could totally relate to the messy eater!
