Jackson on Smith Street

Months ago, I spied this wee baby peeking at me as I strolled by.

In time, his people introduced me to Jackson, who was found in a parking lot, taken to the vet, and adopted.

They are beyond in love with their housepanther, and as I walk by daily, I wave and yell, "Hello, Jackson!"

This kind couple have had other cats in their lives, but Jackson has been so friendly, adorable, and his addition to their family seemed almost pre-destined.

I am thankful to have been granted friendship to this remarkable family, and to their Jackson.

Once again, my neighborhood is so feline-friendly, and there I am...a bonafide cat enthusiast...in the middle of such bounty.

Let's Hop!

  8. We live in a very cat friendly neighborhood too. Neighbor felines come on the front porch and have a chat with us (when the kitchen window is open). The Female Human likes to take us out into the garden with our harness & leash so we can meet some of the neighbors.

  16. Hurray for Jackson! I still miss the little orange boy who wandered into our yard one spring, starving and crying for help. If I haven't described the scenario to you, at our vet the following Monday it took me four (!) mentions to get him checked for an ID chip. The vet tech kept forgetting because she didn't expect a cat to have one. ~shakes head~ After just one weekend, turning him over sort of broke our hearts but his family was so grateful to get him back I don't regret our small sacrifice.
