Series 5 Episode 8 March 1967
Closing Scene
My father loved science fiction.
When I was young, he sat with us kids to watch "Creature From The Black Lagoon", "The Monolith Monsters", and "Them".
As a family, we watched "The Avengers", which was fairly sci-fi for the 1960's...and it was very camp too!
That television show had one episode, all about cats, and the evil people who wanted them to take over the world...or some such folderol.

Nowadays, we know cats have taken over the planet, and there is nothing anyone can do about it.
I am so very thankful that my parents encouraged their progeny to read, to watch, to question, and to investigate.

That's so cool, our Dad really liked all of those movies and never missed an episode of The Avengers! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!
ReplyDelete"The Avengers" were just before my time, but I saw all the episodes eventually. Emma Peel was stylish and sexy, and Steed was the epitome of the cool Englishman. Another series they couldn't replicate.
ReplyDeleteI still catch an episode of The Avengers every once in a while, but I missed that one!
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun watch! One of our favorite classic 'Star Trek' episodes featuring Teri Garr also had a very interesting cat. :) It's called "Assignment: Earth".
ReplyDeleteI loved this show and watched it too. Excellent show.
ReplyDeleteHave a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥
Coming from an adult whose childhood nickname was Nosy I 100% agree "Curiosity killed the cat, but satisfaction brought it back!"
