Remember Me Thursday #RememberMeThursday #SeeTheLight

Over 1 Million pets are euthanized annually. That number has consistently decreased in the last decade.

It is proven that the more awareness we bring to orphan pets results in: 1) Adoptions Increasing, 2) Euthanasia Decreasing, and 3) Puppy Mill Sales Decreasing.

Visit Remember Me Thursday to discover events held today in your area!

Shining a light on shelter animals, who are still looking for their furrever homes.

Our stories:

Every cat at Eastside Cats was adopted!

Adopted from a home with too many kittens (Celestial Angel and Chuck), from the street and alley (Hobo, Sweetie, Sammy, and Paddy O'Malley), and from a shelter (Manny and Chili Bruce).

Having volunteered at cat adoption events, I know that not everyone is ready to invite a cat into their home, but that isn't the only way to help shelter kitties!

-Volunteer at a local shelter or humane society.

-Discuss the horrors of puppy and kitten mills with folks you know; you'd be surprised at how little information is in the general public.

-For those of us with TNR (Trap, Neuter, Return) experience, reaching out to assist folks who need help with ferals or strays, could be a life-changing experience for the cats and those who don't know what to do.

  1. Thank you for being a voice for adoption and celebrating Remember Me Thursday. And thanks for joining our hop!

  2. Adoptions are just the best and here's to many, many more...and then some! Thanks for joining our Thankful Thursday Blog Hop!

  3. As I look at the word Adoptions....lo and behold for the first time I see 'option' which is a choice is part of it...hugs Cecilia

  4. We are *so* ready to adopt a pair of cats, but still uncertain how our geriatric cat Jezebel would react. ~sigh~ I keep hoping a higher power will intervene, such as how we first started caring for kitties. Be well!

  5. We've always taken the kitties and puppies that need us the most. The shelter is a wonderful place to find a precious baby to love and be loved.

Have a fabulous Thankful Thursday. ♥

  6. Pawesome post guys, epic!!!

And the answer to your question, Harry Potter has absolutely nothing to do with Mogwarts, it's a completely independent cat academy with no affiliation to the former whatsoever! MOL MOL Can we say Harry who? MOL MOL XOX

  7. This is a day for shelter pets to have a happy ending, a much deserved happy ending. Thanks for a beautiful, informative post on this Remember Me Thursday - y'all are awesome!

  8. Thanks so much for joining in. We are the lucky ones and and need to help others to #SeeTheLight

  9. This is such an important day. It's up to all of us to spread the word about how amazing rescued pets are.

  10. Thanks for spreading the word to help cats get adopted. XO

  11. Isn’t it good to know that with increased awareness that the rate of euthanasia slows down? That’s is amazing. Our collective efforts do help! Thanks for spreading the word about pet adoption! xx

  12. At the shelter I volunteer with we have seen the number of cats taken in lately decrease. We're not sure if it's related to Covid or that spay/neuter and TNR efforts are paying off. We hope it's because of the latter.

  13. Thank you parents for being such wonderful adopters.

  14. Rescue is my fave breed. All TW's cats have been rescues too. I'm only the second shelter cat she's had. The others were strays.

  15. Great post! We love our local TNR! I put out shelters from them for feral kitties in the winter time! Thank you for being such good kitty parents

  16. Thank you for joining the hop and educating people to these things. All of my mom's cats have been strays or shelter cats.

  17. There are definitely so many ways to help shelter pets! Thank you for sharing some of them.

  18. It is really good to see so many bloggers joining in this event
