Lights Out for Birds

Let's all do something to help the birds.

It's Caturday!

An image from a recent garden walk, which I artified with Prisma, using the Tokyo filter.

I like the texture of the leaves, and the water drops.

  1. Wow, I did NOT know about the lights out thing. Well, we have a yellow shaded light at the back door, for when I come home late at night. Mostly the other lights in our area are off at about midnight. If I see them I will let them know too.

Nice picture with all those dewy drops on them.

  2. Living down a country lane surrounded by fields the only light around here at night is our motion sensor light which is often triggered by bats flying past it. As I write this I have a little *English robin friend sitting on the greenhouse singing away to me. He comes every morning to see me and at various times through the day.
*I think English robins are different to American robins being much smaller and with a red breast.

  4. I'll turn out what lights I can, but mine don't matter much in the apartment.

  5. We didn't know that either but we hope all the birdies make it to their destination safely.

  6. I knew to turn off lights when at the beach so baby sea turtles hatching out don't get confused and move inland. They're supposed to follow the moonlight on the water.

Now I know to be careful for the birds migrating, too, thank you!
