All In A Day's Work

It's Caturday!

Da Boyz, lounging in MY chair, were the subject, then I artified four times to make a collage.

I used Painnt, but then the words were backyard on the two images that I flipped, so I removed that signature from each.

Yesterday, The Hubby and I had a few anxious hours: Chili Bruce was hissing at Manny, he hid deep in the coat closet, and horrors of horrors: he would not EAT!

In his entire life with us, CB has always eaten whatever we've put into his bowl, and if allowed, he'd gobble up his meal, and then push Manny off of his.

In my first panicked moments, I thought:

1) He's stressing over Henry.

2) He and Manny had a mad fight, and CB was the loser.

3) CB isn't feeling well.

By noontime, CB had slept the entire morning under a blanket.  That's not a good sign.

So, I brought out the secret weapon: KIBBLE!

Yes, Chili Bruce ate a portion of it, and Manny got a few nuggets because it's just rude to give some to one and not the other.

UPDATE:

CB enjoyed a full dinner of canned roasted turkey, and ate it in his usual record time.

You could hear the sighs of relief from both me and The Hubby for miles!

Let's Hop!

  1. Dearest Vicky,
Anytime our kitties don't want to eat is scary! Chili Bruce might just have felt a bit off for whatever reason and his reaction to his brother got affected by that.
    Sure glad he ate!
    Hugs,

  2. He must have had an off day and recovered after resting. I am glad he is back to normal now.

  3. That's really scary and I hope all is well. Are the litter box habits all okay?

  4. Great art. Don't we worry to no end when the kitty is not acting "normal". Hope Chill Bruce has no other issues now. Maybe he found something to eat earlier that was NOT cat food.

  8. I hate moments like that. The loss as to what could be wrong, the worry over whether to call the vet, the relief when things go back to normal... I hope CB continues being himself.

  12. Anything even slightly out of the norm is scary and worrisome where our Furry Babies are concerned. Glad things seem to be okay now.
    The collage is lovely.

  13. That was scary and boy do we all know what those times are like. As John said...not knowing what's wrong and something certainly IS wrong...vet or not and as he said, the feeling of relief when they are themselves again...worth a million.

  14. Let's hope he just had an upset tummy (perhaps from eating a bug or something) and is over it now.
