Near Eastside Cats is Selfridge Air National Guard Base, where many serving folk are stationed.
Just being out and about in our area, there are many in uniform to acknowledge and thank for their service.
It would be terrific, however, if we didn't ever have to consider going to war, no?

Thank you, Veterans.
I wonder if the dog is thinking, "Not only did they not give me a gun, they put my only weapon in a cage..." It's Remembrance Day here, and we remember...
ReplyDeleteYes, no war at all would be a very unusual state for our planet. And we had better think more seriously about it.....soon.
ReplyDeleteDearest Vicky,
ReplyDeleteYes, brave service animals have been used for all wars and they need to be remembered.
Already in biblical times we read about wars and power abuse by taking away the freedom of others.
May we enter a more stable and peaceful period!
Hugs,
Mariette + Kitties
It would be wonderful if there were no more wars, but it won't come during my time. All I can hope for is that one of the lunatics doesn't press that red button!
ReplyDeleteSadly, the human race never seems to learn.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness for all of our human and animal Warriors. Without them there would be no freedom anywhere. But war is such a terrible terrible thing.
ReplyDeleteWe wish peoples did not hate those who are different or think different from them. We purray for more love and kindness and gratefulness.
ReplyDeleteKeep being awesome guys! And buy Combat Cookies! Marvelous Marv, Kozmo, Jo Jo, Nutcase er Nutmeg and Mom Barb
Bless all that served, human and animal.
ReplyDeleteLove what Marvelous Marv said about less hate and more love.
Have a fabulous day and week. Scritches to the kitties. ♥
A fine tribute.
ReplyDeleteExcellent post.
ReplyDeleteWe will always honor, respect and remember all our Veterans.
ReplyDeleteI am thankful to all who have served and are serving, including the animals.
ReplyDeleteThat last image made me giggle. But so many animals who suffered either fighting or living through war should be remembered as much as their human counterparts.
