Near Eastside Cats is Selfridge Air National Guard Base, where many serving folk are stationed.

Just being out and about in our area, there are many in uniform to acknowledge and thank for their service.

It would be terrific, however, if we didn't ever have to consider going to war, no?

Had the distinct pleasure of meeting Brandi and Brandon, the co-originators of Combat Cookies, while at a family gathering recently.

Such kind, loving people, and their military service is such a huge part of their lives.

New items in my cat garb wardrobe:

I tried to assist Sweetie in jazzing up her ensemble...

...but she told me that this hat isn't her style.

I barely sustained damage from her murder mitts, tying the ribbons under her chin.

Can She Get Sweeter?

Last night, as Sweetie and I shared the bed, she used my hand as her pillow.

Truly, one of the most endearing things EVER!!!

She also brings toys and found objects to me, which I discover when making the bed.
