Good Bye

Sweetie earned her angel's wings yesterday afternoon.

It was time.

A constant in our lives since mid-2009, she enjoyed her retirement years inside and was pampered.

'Ear Ya Go

It's Sweetnesday!

Loved catching the shadow of Sweetie's ear peeking over the edge.

Her other ear was tipped when TNR'd in 2009.

Sweetie is deaf, or mostly so, but she can surely turn up the volume when she wants something.

And she has her own refrigerator now.

In our quest to make sure Sweetie gets plenty to eat, we often have 1/2 empty cat food cans.

To carry the cans from upstairs to the kitchen fridge often means walking past Da Boyz with cat food.

In order to make sure the food remains in good condition, but to tease Manny and Chili Bruce less, this wee refrigerator is just the ticket.

It's adorable, just like Sweetie.

A Decade

That she's an inside-only cat now makes my heart go pitter-patter; just love her!

Small and Spicy

It's Sweetnesday!

A usual day in Sweetie's Apartment, while I continue to work remotely:

Napping in her Sweetie Spa.

Enjoying the Spring sunshine from the front window.

Voicing her displeasure at...well, am not sure what she was displeased about!

Maybe my Zoom meeting?

Sweetie is about 1/2 the size of either of Da Boyz, and she doesn't like being picked up.

She gets very spicy whenever I try, and those murder mitts snick out.

Yet, she bears no grudges; once she's been released...and my clothes are full of holes from her nails...she purrs and pretends like her catness was never grabbed.

I mean, she's so wee and cute...and feisty.

Since we posted about Celestial PO'M's loud purring on Monday, and Da Boyz's assisting each other with baths on Tuesday, how could we not share Sweetie's noisy self, with bonus snores and twitches?

We've had another report from Heaven!

"Angel Timmy Tomcat was walking up the lane and he spied Paddy O'Malley chatting with a pooch. This being an odd sight, cat with dog, dog with cat, he saddled up and introduced himself and explained how he had seen Paddy on his blog. Timmy was surprised when Pocket introduced herself as he never really talked with a pup. "My Dad's Mom and Sister had pups who endlessly barked so I never went further than the bottom of the stairs as we lived in a smaller apartment over the house. You are nothing like them." Timmy and Pad commiserated over the lung cancer and told Pocket that kitties have the same problem she had. Hearing a bit about being a bird Timmy laughed and said his brothers, Mr Buttons and Buddy Budd, knew how to walk over Dad at night. Only a step or two but that was all it took to let him know they were alright. Timmy said he got a step in and it was something to see Dad turn on his flashlight since he knew were the family was sleeping. They all agreed that this was interesting and they walked along chatting. Two cats and a dog. Imagine that!"

Truly, one of the most endearing things EVER!!!
