The United Nations has designated May 20 as World Bee Day.

  1. There are beehives in the field over the other side of the lane, and the bees come down and drink from the birdbath.

  2. Love the bees and we certainly hope that they can increase in population. We need them. I've seen plenty of trying to get into dandelions and a few other things that have been blooming already.

  7. We celebrate the Bees in our yard (much to the chagrin of our neighbors) we won't gut the dandelions until the other flowers start (right about now) as dandelions are their major food source. Mom has convinced about 1/2 of the neighbors too. Purrs Marvelous Marv

  8. We try to help by not mowing and we don't use chemicals on the lawn.

  9. I had a bee trapped in my garage last week and I helped him out. I hope he survived.

  11. I love bees and have only seen one honeybee in our clover, it was there today. We've had clover since March and this is the middle of May. I am afraid for our planet and our bees.
